The great waterfront city

Portsmouth and Southsea combined make a fantastic destination to explore and enjoy, from the miles of beautiful beaches to the historic waterfront of picturesque old Portsmouth, to the Maritime history of the historic dockyard and Portsmouth Naval base. There really is something for everyone.

The millenium walk is a fantastic trail linking the Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays, Old Portsmouth and the historic waterfront of Southsea and Southsea castle. Allowing you to take in many of the historic sites while enjoying the outdoors and panoramic views of the Solent and Portsmough Harbour.

There are numerous other museums and galleries to explore, including the fascination D-Day museum documenting Portsmouth vital role in World War II, the Royal Marines Museum and Portsmouth city museum and gallery. There are also several fascinating art studios in "the arches" next to the Hot Walls beach housing many local artists.
